The COBRA Compliance and Legislative Review seminar educates employers on their compliance requirements and points out gray areas and pitfalls an employer/plan administrator could encounter. Attendees will learn how to avoid problem areas such as IRS excise taxes, ERISA penalties and unwanted litigation in federal court.

The Legislative Review provides employers with an overview of benefit laws they must comply with or at least be familiar with, such as the Trade Adjustment Act (TAA), Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and more.

Seminar topics include:

  • COBRA terminology
  • Time frames
  • TAMRA
  • Rights and responsibilities
  • Qualifying events
  • COBRA notices
  • Proper COBRA management

Seminar attendees will leave with a better understanding of how to maintain a compliance program and retain documentation necessary to prove compliance.

Do not wait for the IRS or the federal courts to find mistakes. Attend this seminar and make sure you are fully informed!

Seminars attendees will receive:

  • COBRA reference manual
  • Six months of FREE COBRA telephone support
  • CPE/CE/HRCI credit
  • Opportunity to network with other professionals in your field
